The above is a quote directly from your website. No monthly fees! Pay just once and you own the license. If version upgrades were made so the host/QS files were backward compatible and security updates were guaranteed for two years (like Google with Android) I probably would have a different attitude, but generally I feel like a demand letter is being sent each time an upgrade is released. Past versions were not upwardly compatible - if I tell a client to download Teamviewer and he / she does, without being specific in the link I won't be able to log into their system. Security updates petered out for 10 a few months after release but I doubt 10 was more secure or stable than 11. The problem being that while license updates may be optional from a "the existing client won't stop working" the version downloads for my users to remote in become harder to access and security updates for the older version(s) become fewer and fewer. Let me know if I can answer any other questions! :) If there is anything we can assist you with please feel free to contact us at any time. Please note that license updates are optional and based on your decision whether you find the new features beneficial. The new features of the new major version are based on user and customer requests. In response to questions on updating: We hope you find value in the latest version of TeamViewer.
